In each episode of the Birds & Nerds podcast, I'll be exploring a random topic that I want to learn more about with an expert on that subject. We're talking about, well, everything — AI, current affairs, history, science, conservation, philanthropy, sports, popular culture, writing, music, and more.
And, since birds are my favorite animals and touch our lives in a myriad of ways, we always find the connection — sometimes unexpected — to them!
By observing birds, we can learn about adaptation, social interaction, and survival strategies. So whether you are a seasoned birdwatcher or simply enjoy the cheerful songs outside your window, we hope to deepen your appreciation for birds and their essential place in our lives, encouraging you to observe, protect, and celebrate our feathered friends.

Storytelling is my passion. Whether I'm working as a journalist, producer, or writer, it's all about telling a compelling story.
I've interviewed everyone from government officials, CEOs, educators, policy makers, to newsmakers in many other fields as a journalist. My words have appeared on every major broadcast network and many of the world's top online sites.
As an award-winning producer, I've produced thousands of hours of live and recorded television from the field and in the studio. I've produced, shot, and edited videos for various platforms. My work has won Emmys, Peabodys, duPonts, a Gracie, and many more national and local awards.
